Once a Giant always a Giant

The day was December 15th 2019 and it would be the final day in which my favorite NFL Player, Eli Manning, would play his last game as the leader of the New York Football Giants.

2 Super Bowls later and a new friendship between a father and son that formed over Eli’s tenor with the Giants made that day a sad one for me on so many levels.

Not only was December 15, 2019 Eli’s last game, but it wound up being the final day of my fathers life and 15 minutes after Eli ran of the field at MetLife Stadium, my father passed away.

It was a somber and sad moment, but a moment that will stay with me for a lifetime. I said goodbye to two people that helped shape who I am today.

Thanks for making me a life long Giants fan dad! It allowed us to put our differences aside and mend what was once a broken relationship.

Thank you to Eli for being the spark that reunited us. Thanks to the Giants for making every weekend visiting Dad to be enjoyable. Thanks Dad for being my best friend.
