A short break to return more strongly

Dear friends and contacts,

I realized that I have kept my silence for a while, and considering that some people ask me about this, and some other feel that this is a normal process due to the pandemic, I decided that it is time for me to make an announcement. Life continues to flow rapidly for people with all its joys and grievances. Yes, sometimes we experience happy moments, and sometimes we face difficulties. This applies to both the business world and private life.

The last 8 years of my life were quite busy and full of great accomplishments with my esteemed friend and companion Barbaros and the iyzico team, which I am very fond of. As two Turkish entrepreneurs, we believed in a dream, and realized that dream. We also experienced the joy of announcing this to the whole world. Through all these processes, even though we faced challenges as the iyzico team, we were able to overcome these. At this point, I sincerely feel the pride and joy of realizing a dream.

One can be at a loss for words while trying to express some things, but personally, the thing I like best in life is to overcome difficulties… Cancer, the illness that we do not even want to hear of, which has come knocking at the door of many of our loved ones and acquaintances in recent years, came knocking at my door this time. Like everyone, I was also shocked at facing this illness that I do not know at all at a time when I least expected it. However, after my short-lived dismay, I started to experience a process that I am sure I will overcome with the great support of my whole family, close friends and my doctors, whom I trust myself with confidently. Now, I am at a good point in my treatment, and my treatment will continue for some more time so that everything can be better.

I am never giving up my dreams, but I must make a change in my plans so that I can use my energy correctly to regain my health more quickly. At this point, I would first like to announce that I am resigning from my job as an active executive at iyzico-PayU, which is quite dear and important for me, and that I will continue as a shareholder. Even though I will not be at iyzico Park physically, I will always be beside the team in spirit, and I will continue to follow our achievements with pride.

On the other hand, I want to stay in touch with the world of entrepreneurship in a way that will not have me spend a great deal of energy, as this will give me the opportunity to feed the hope and happiness within me. As a professional coming from entrepreneurship, I also intend to keep in touch with young and promising entrepreneurs, whom I can both share my experiences with and offer investment support. I will strive to keep in contact with both you, my dear friends, and my young colleagues from time to time, if not face to face, through social media and digital platforms.

Hope to meet you face to face also, and chat about new accomplishments in the days when both our world and personal worlds are more healthy, happy, and content!
